The EC Rear Steer Spindles are custom-built spindles designed for our fully adjustable racing front axles for racing lawnmowers.
Rear Steer Spindle are most commonly built for FX or Outlaw class race mowers that are allowed to use boxed frames and lower ride height than the more traditional Prepared-Style Chassis that require the use of a stock lawnmower chassis. The rear steer means the tie rods are behind the rear of the front axle. This setup resembles familiar go-kart steering system with two tie rods connecting to the pitman arm of the steering shaft.
These spindles do not come ready for front brakes. To set them up for front brakes, you’ll need to notch the spindle axes for a brake key. The axles are standard 5/8 and will use 5/8 front hubs.
